Pearson BTEC Level 3 90 Credit Diploma in Travel & Tourism. Students complete units which include: Investigating Travel and Tourism, Customer Service in the Travel and Tourism Industry, Tour Operations, and The Marketing of Travel and Tourism. Students should expect to be in College for three days per week. Currently the qualification is coursework assessed with assessment methods including written reports, presentations, role plays and word-processed documents (Pearson Level 3 qualifications are being revised and external assessments may be introduced in 2016). Work experience will be carried out in a tourism related area for two weeks with a range of local employers. There are also opportunities to take qualifications in Maths at the appropriate level.
