Counselling Skills involve the ability to listen to another person and hear exactly what they are trying to say, from their point of view. This portfolio based course is designed for those who want to learn listening/counselling skills to help others, either in a voluntary or employed capacity, or those who want to find out more about this field. The course won't teach you to be a counsellor but may help you decide whether or not to continue with further training. It is designed specifically to train you in the basic counselling skills which may be used in employment and everyday life to assist in improving communication and supporting others. The course is accredited by CPCAB (Counselling & Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body).
