F805 - This qualification is designed for people who want to work as door supervisors and require a licence to practise. The qualification is endorsed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA) and learners who complete it successfully can apply to the SIA for a licence through Doncaster College. The qualification is supported by the SIA to meet the mandatory requirements for Door Supervisors who undertook their qualification prior to the QCF Door Supervision qualifications and who need to renew their licence. Conflict management for private security industry Physical Intervention Outline programme Working in the Private Security industry. Covers the main characteristics of this sector including: Aims and functions of the SIA and the key bodies within the industry. The required qualities of a private security operative and the career opportunities open to them are explained. Solving Work-related /Building working relationships with customers. Including how to deal with individuals and organisations workplace problems. Learning with colleagues and learners / communicating solutions to others /working in team. Including - how customer's and client's interactions with employees influence their opinion of the organisation as a whole. Conflict management for door supervisors. Including an introduction to communication skills and conflict management skills. Physical intervention skills. Including disengagement techniques, this shows how staff can reduce the risks of assault through non-physical measures. The day also covers holding techniques where the job role may legitimately involve physically escorting or holding an individual. Security Guarding, Door Supervisors, Outdoor Education and Recreation, Event Stewarding.
