If you want to take the first steps in to teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector, then this is the course for you. You will be introduced to the foundations of teaching, learning and assessment covering areas such as teaching roles and responsibilities, planning for learning and assessment. This is a Level 3 course so all students will be expected to have a good standard of written and verbal English, (on the first class you will undertake an assessment to confirm this). You will also be expected to have a good level of maths and ICT. This course is an ideal stepping stone if you would like to progress on to a full teaching qualification. Ideally, you have a relevant vocational and/or academic qualification of at least the level above that of the learners you wish to teach and a minimum Level 3 qualification in your specialist area.
