If you have an interest in the environment and conservation and would like to work in such areas as country parks, golf courses, and recreational areas or for the local council, these Apprenticeships offer excellent preparation. Typical areas covered include: communicating with, and caring for, the public and others; surveying and reporting on the condition of the environment; carrying out habitat management work; planting, sowing, natural regeneration, hedge laying, felling, coppicing and pruning; constructing and maintaining boundaries/ access points; stone walls, posts and wire fences, post and rail, banks, gates and stiles. Once you've applied for an Apprenticeship, we will do our best to help you find employment or you may have already found a job that would give you the experience and skills needed for this kind of work. Only when you have employment can you start your Apprenticeship programme.
