HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE - LEVEL 3

This is a two year full time course which is designed for students wishing to gain employment in the health and social care sectors or progress to further study at a higher level. The course is suitable for school leavers and adults who wish to follow a career in social work, nursing, speech therapy, podiatry, youth and community work or radiology and psychology. You will study a range of units including: * Communicate Disease * Physiological Disorders * Nutrition * Equality, Diversity and Rights * Development through the Life Stages * Caring for Children and Young People * Safeguarding Adults All LMC students will receive tutorial support. All students aged 16 -19 are required to study Functional English and Maths qualifications or GCSE Maths, English if not already awarded an A*-C in these subjects. Students aged 19+ are strongly encouraged to take relevant maths and English qualifications to support progression into further or higher education, training or employment.
