The Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism is a one year programme of study which enables students to develop core knowledge of the travel and tourism industry. Ideal for those who want to make the most of their leisure time, this course offers a taste of the types of employment opportunities available in the travel and tourism sector. Taught by industry experts, students will build foundation knowledge of the travel and tourism industry which can be applied to many occupations. The course is suitable for school leavers who would like a career in the travel and tourism sector. It is also an ideal route into both Air Cabin Crew Diploma Level 2 and Travel and Tourism Diploma Level 3 courses. You will study the following: * Selling Skills & Customer Service * Interpersonal Skills * Worldwide Tourist Destinations and Attractions * Working as a Travel Agent * Working overseas as a Holiday Representative * The Structure of the Travel and Tourism Industry * Work Experience All LMC students will receive one-to-one tutorial support. All students aged 16 -19 are required to study Functional Skills English and maths qualifications or GCSE Maths and English if not already awarded an A*-C in these subjects. Students aged 19+ are strongly encouraged to take relevant maths and English qualifications to support progression into further or higher education, training or employment. You will develop customer service skills to increase your confidence when working with members of the public.
