UPDATED 20160510 08:41:07

Adult Health and Social Care is a growing sector and includes services to adults in need or at risk, or adults with needs arising from illness, disability, old age or poverty. Working in this sector can involve providing support for older people, people with mental health problems, learning or physical disabilities, or those with alcohol and substance misuse problems. A career in care can be varied, ranging from social work and nursing to community based careers. With a level 3 health and social care qualification, career opportunities are possible in many care environments, including hospitals, day centres and residential homes.
