The Certificate in Human Resource Development (CHRD) is an intermediate level qualification (equivalent to NVQ/SVQ Level 5) and is designed to reflect the CIPD HR Profession Map and the new professional membership criteria. CHRM provides the underpinning knowledge required for the new Associate professional level of CIPD membership. On successful completion of the CHRD, if you have the relevant professional experience you can apply for a membership assessment To achieve the CHRD, learners need to achieve a minimum of 32 credits, comprising 14 credits from the core units and 18 credits from the optional units. The Units are Developing Professional Practice, Business Issues and the Contexts of Human Resources, Using Information in Human Resources, Contemporary Developments in Human Resource Development, Managing the Human Resources Function and Employment Law.
