Apprenticeships are training programmes designed for students of all age groups (above 16 years) who have left full-time education and are in employment. Apprenticeships are open to those who have just left school, have been working for years or are seeking to start a new career. They lead to the achievement of nationally recognised qualifications and technical competence in defined areas of work at Level 3. Advanced Apprentices must be employed within the vocational area. Modules studied include: Apprentice Induction: General Requirements & Employment Rights and Responsibilities Functional Skills: (English & Maths) at Level 2. VRQ: (Technical Certificate) Health and Safety. Technology & workshop tasks. N.V.Q./VCQ: Practical tasks at work. (Job Cards) Diagnosing & Rectifying Faults.
