This qualification forms the competency component of the Intermediate Apprenticeship for Health and Social Care: adult social care general pathway. It confirms competence for roles such as: • Care assistants and support workers in residential settings, domiciliary services, or day services • Healthcare assistants and support workers in community and primary care environments • Support workers in supported living projects • Community-based care assistants/ support workers/key workers, including those working in specialist areas e.g. dementia, learning disabilities

To gain the qualification fully funded, Learners will need to complete Functional Skills in Maths and English, unless exempt.
