This course provides an introductory exploration of the knowledge that is required to progress to employment in the sports and leisure industry and focuses on the knowledge and skills required to understand the scientific principles behind sports and exercise performance. If you would like to work or eventually run a business, in the sport and leisure industry, this course would be a good starting point. If you are interested in using science to improve your own performance or that of others or are interested in being a coach, personal trainer or gym instructor then you would also benefit from this course which covers some of the basic knowledge needed to progress towards these sorts of careers.
