This course is ideal if you want to gain a nationally recognised Level 2 science qualification and study in a vocational context. It is linked directly to the work scientists do in the laboratories. It also develops transferable skills: team working, communication, problem solving, research skills and helps to enhance English, maths and IT competence. Course units consist of elements of physics, chemistry and biology. If you have not achieved a C grade or above in English or maths, you will as part of your course be required to work towards this as part of your study programme.
