Watercolour Painting

The course will establish a range of basic methods of watercolour painting through the use of sketchbook, photographs, found images or direct observation. You will learn and practice wet in wet, dry brush and wet on dry paint techniques. Gain confidence in using materials and be encouraged to take part in group discussionsHave access to one to one support The overall aim is to help you develop personal expression through a mixture of practice, discussion and demonstration techniques.

Bring whatever watercolour materials you may already have purchased, or a pad of A3 cartridge paper, soft grade of pencils (4B or 6B), soft rubber and a graphite stick for the first session.
