This course is all about repairing, altering, up-cycling and reinventing clothing and other textile items to give them a second life. Repairing zips, taking up hemlines on trousers or skirts, taking a pattern from a much loved garment in order to reproduce it, altering garments either to fit or to completely re-invent them, taking garments which you might think are beyond repair and changing them, with a little imagination, into something completely different, for example: part of another garment, a bag, oven gloves, tea cosy, slippers, bathmat - the possibilities are endless.Learners will need to contact the customer service team before the beginning of the course to discuss their goals with the tutor prior to course beginning.
