The aim of the course is to learn a range of basic cooking skills enabling the production of simple but tasty and nutritious dishes from scratch.Learning during the course will be student led, with the goals moving towards areas that are democratically decided upon. The main goal will be to develop confidence in a variety of cooking skills, to recognise ingredients that work together and to master the use of kitchen equipment, including knife handling. Learners will also learn how to carry out best hygienic practices + understand food safety hazards that may occur in a kitchen.
