Who is the programme for? Students 16 or over who have definite career aspirations in a sporting environment and are seeking to coach or play at a high level. What is the programme structure? Approximately 18 units to be completed, 9 in each year of the course. What does the programme include? Specialist facilities are used both on and off site throughout the course. What award will I achieve? - 90 Credit Diploma in year1, converting to a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Development, Coaching & Fitness) in year 2 - Level 2 Sports Leaders Award - Higher Sports Leaders Award - First Aid Award - Other Coaching Awards available as additional options - There may also be an opportunity to gain a Duke of Edinburgh Award.
