A2 Level Sociology

UPDATED 20160429 08:54:01

Why study A2 Sociology? Building on what you have learnt from AS Sociology, A2 Sociology tackles some very serious issues surrounding human rights and justice. You will examine power and equality in British society. Sociologists would argue that individuals are not born equal. Sociologists do not dispute the existence of inequality but they differ in their explanations, making A2 Sociology highly engaging. What's on the course? We will start by looking at Crime and Deviance. Through this unit you will explore the extent and explanations of criminal behaviour. The final unit is World Sociology which looks at inequality on a global level and examines issues such as third world debt and globalisation.
