Why study A2 Geography? Geographers study the interaction between people and the places they inhabit. As such it is a relevant and flexible subject which integrates well with a variety of other subject areas and can usefully be combined with Sciences, Languages or Social Sciences. It allows the science specialist to develop important literacy skills and the arts specialist to develop important numeric and graphical skills. Indeed, all the important key skills can be acquired through a study of Geography. What's on the course? During the A2 course you will study Contemporary Geographical Issues. There are three topics studied on the course out of a choice of six. There must be at least one physical and one human topic chosen out of the three. The topics chosen for the next A2 course are: Plate Tectonics and Associated Hazards, World Cities and Weather and Climate and Associated Hazards.
