The AS/A2 syllabus in Film Studies is designed to deepen students' understanding appreciation and enjoyment of film the major art form of the twentieth century. You will study Cinema as a medium as an art form and as a social and economic institution.
Name: Film Studies A Level Qualification title: GCE A Level in Film Studies Qualification type: Assessment At AS level 20% of the course is coursework where you are required to complete an analysis of a chosen extract and a creative storyboard for an original film. 30% of the course is exam based where you will cover topics: Producers and Audiences British Film Genre: Horror and US Film. At A2 25% of the course is coursework based where you will complete a Small Scale Research Project and a Short Film or Screenplay the rest of the course is exam based: Urban Stories Single Film Study and Spectatorship.
