Inorganic chemistry: includes periodicity, Group 2 the alkaline earth metals, Group 7 the halogens. AS Level Organic/Physical Chemistry - Organic chemistry: includes introduction to organic chemistry, alkanes, halogenoalkanes, alkenes, alcohols, organic analysis. Aims of Course: Chemistry is involved in almost everything in our daily lives: from the air that we breathe to the clothes that we wear, the food that we eat and fuels to keep us warm. New materials such as plastics, life saving medicines and pesticides have all been developed by Chemists working in a wide variety of industries.
