Learn all about relief printing- spending 3 weeks each on lino, woodcut and engraving, and how to print an edition. This is a great opportunity to work in wood engraving, not offered elsewhere in the department. , , Taking inspiration from Fine Artist and designers, this course will focus on making prints in an experimental way. Think… Alexander Calder, Bridget Riley, Jon Bok, Jonathan Owen, Paula Rego, Yoshimoto Nara, Edward Ardizone. By looking at a range of artists' work, you will learn how develop a personal language of markmaking. Jonathan Ashworth's enthusiasm will be sure to inspire you to develop your own individual outcomes, and a great series of prints, over this 10 week course. , , 'Play is life-jazz. Entry requirements

Please bring: pencils, a small paintbrush and a sketchbook or notebook. Protective clothing is provided, or you can bring your own apron and rubber gloves. The course fee includes most studio consumables (ink, cleaning materials, solvents etc) but you will have to pay for paper, etching plates/ lino blocks etc. These are available to buy in the department at cost price.
