Learn to make a variety of settings for different shaped stones: facetted, cabochon or rough cut. Explore tapered collets for marquis, baguette or oval stones. This is an intermediate level course. Students should be able to solder with confidence.

All tools needed to take part in the course are available in the workshop. We also provide base metals in small quantities. You will need to purchase your own silver, gold, stones, saw blades and drill bits etc to complete your projects. You should bring a small bench-book to record ideas and designs and a pencil / pen for taking notes. Please bring an apron, a hairtie if your hair is long, a fine permanent marker pen, a 1/0 paintbrush and wear sensible footwear, no open toed sandals.
