Tailoring for Men & Women

UPDATED 20160421 12:16:16

It is essential that you read the entry requirements carefully before enrolling on this course. The course will enable you to gain the skills to produce beautifully tailored jackets for men or women. You will be able to build on your existing abilities in producing garments and develop a deeper understanding of the cut and finish of a jacket as you master a range of tailoring techniques. This course is suitable if you are in further or higher education, hoping to work as a tailor, or hoping to run your own business, or if you simply want to make tailored jackets for yourself and friends. If you are a beginner to tailoring, it will provide an excellent introduction to the subject. If you already have some experience or attended the course last term, it is an opportunity to further develop and consolidate your skills. You must have an intermediate level of skill at using patterns and constructing garments. Hand sewing skills are not necessary but would be an advantage.
