The aim of this programme is to offer students a range of vocational choices and support them in improving their English, Maths and ICT skills. In addition to this students are encouraged to develop confidence in personal and social skills, communication and teamwork.. Students may wish to progress on to the Moving On Pathway, the LEAP pathway, or into employment. Vocational areas may include Catering, Childcare, Horticulture, Hairdressing, Media, Retail, Sport, or Motor Vehicle Studies. Other skills development includes: Team Building Communication skills Health and Safety Maths, English, ICT Employability skillsQualification AimsCertificate or Diploma in Skills for Work and Independence. Functional Maths, English and ICT at the appropriate level. EquipmentStudents taking Catering should wear whites, students doing MVS need boots and overalls.
