Level 3 Diploma in Photography

This course is designed to offer a gateway into the photographic industry or further study; this two year course is structured around eighteen mandatory units, these units present an opportunity for the learner to explore traditional and contemporary photographic materials, techniques and processes. Investment in digital technologies has meant that the students will have access to vital state of the art digital equipment and training. Students are encouraged to develop their own unique style with emphasis placed on the development of the students appreciation of photography as a method of visual communication and expression. Housed in a purpose built art school; the photography department consists of a professional standard traditional darkroom, studios and digital darkroom facilities. Course lecturers are working professionals and are able to offer the student an insight into current industry practice. The course will culminate in an end of year student exhibition.
