Film Studies AS/A2

UPDATED 20160420 15:14:00

If you have a keen interest in films from how they are made to what they might say about those that watch them then this is the course for you. The course covers British Hollywood European and world cinema. A close analysis of individual films is made alongside a broad appreciation of the relationship between the film industry and the audience. Coursework components allow students the opportunity to conduct their own research on a particular film director and to work on a practical project such as screenwriting or film video making. Assessment is through coursework submission and two formal exams held in June. The course follows the Welsh Joint Education Committee Board.
