This course will give you the knowledge you'll need for a career in nursing or midwifery. You will study a range of subjects including nursing studies, health sciences, psychology and sociology of health, research skills, maths and English and information technology. You will also study specific units which will develop your study skills in preparation for higher education.The Access to HE Diploma is a credit based qualification which prepares you to study at a University of your choice in the UK. This new programme is for adults who have not succeeded in the mainstream education and yet possess a focused attitude to study and a potential for achieving in higher education.The purpose of the Access to HE Diploma is to equip you with independent learning strategies so that you will be successful in their Higher Education studies and progress to your chosen specialist Pathway in Health Care.Rules of Combination is an integral part of the Programme and it makes clear the required number of credits for successful completion of the course. This means that to be successful you must achieve 60 credits of which 45 are at level 3 and 15 at level 2 or 3. This is a national requirement.
