Advanced apprentices can work within the Hospitality and Catering in such roles as Sous Chefs, Senior Chef/Cook within either in a fine dining establishment or general restaurants, hotels and pubs. Tasks undertaken by Advanced Apprentices may include liaising with the Head Chef around menu development, preparing, cooking and finishing food, to preparing staff rotas and ensuring that staff work effectively together. Advanced apprentices may be able to progress in their careers to the role of Head Chef, General Manager with similar roles in institutional catering, such as hospitals or schools.
