The workshop is ideal for those who have worked with flower paste and wish to extend their knowledge of the craft and try this new medium Modista. This medium is made with two products Artista Soft and Medina mixed together to create a pliable paste to make flowers, in this case a Specimen Rose. This new paste is virtually indestructible so the flowers made with this paste last for years. So why not come along and master how to use it. You will have the opportunity to develop your creative flair and develop your artistic style in making a rose using Modista. The flower we will be making is a hybrid rose which features in most Sugarcraft books, in a colour of your choice. You will learn how to colour Modista to give a graduated effect and how use a metal balling tool to thin and refine the edges of the petals. The rose will be perfect for the centrepiece on a special occasion cake for an anniversary or birthday. At the end of the day you will have the knowledge and confidence to produce a Specimen Rose unaided. The workshop is not suitable for those who have no experience of sugarcraft.
