Learn how to cut into a lino block and print from it creating multiple images which can be cards, gift tags or similar. You will be given simple themes to follow such as buildings or animals and then the tutor will demonstrate the different effects you can achieve by cutting the lino in slightly different ways. From this you will produce a one colour print. You will then be shown how to align your paper and print so that you can successfully produce a two or three colour print. You will look at contemporary lino printers for ideas and inspiration through handouts, websites and you-tube clips. The tutor will be able to recommend paper, lino and tool suppliers although some paper and all tools are available for this course. You will need to buy lino which can be purchased for the tutor.
