WAES is excited to run this new qualification (Level 1 Award In Making it in Fashion). This Course will introduce you to the technical and creative skills used in the Fashion design and development process. The Level 1 Course will equip you with essential research, drawing and technical skills to be able to design, make and present a finished fashion product. While on the Course you will learn how to illustrate and develop your research ideas in sketchbooks, reflect on initial designs through fashion illustrations and develop sewing and garment construction skills. All units of the Course will give you an insight to how the Fashion Industry works, and will link technical and practical skills with your own creative abilities, giving you a chance to find the fashion designer in you. At the end of the Course you will have the opportunity to have your work displayed and shown at the many Exhibitions and Shows at WAES. While on the Course you will have the opportunity to visit fashion design studios of Contemporary Fashion designers within the London Area. This Course requires 100% Attendance, Punctuality and an interest in Fashion. No formal qualifications are required to enrol onto this Course.

The Course will be taught by tutors who are industry experts with many years of experience working in the Fashion Industry as well as running their own Fashion Businesses. They will assist and motivate you to exceed your goals and expectations while on this Course.
