During this course you will be introduced to new tools and materials that you may not have seen or used before. This course will enable you to re-upholster a 'stool' or 'drop-in dining chair'. By the end of the course you will be able to do the following: Identify an item of furniture that is worthy of restoration and re-upholstery Demonstrate appropriate techniques in restoring woodwork. Correctly use specialist upholstery hand tools safely Identify and use the correct types of fabric suitable for upholstery Demonstrate a high level of health and safety procedures in the workshop and studio Complete all stages of upholstery leading to a well-finished item of furniture
