In order to develop you as an independent learner you will be required to complete an independent learning module alongside your taught modules. There is also Study skills is integrated into the course and prepares you for HE by informing you of the essential skills needed for writing essays and making oral presentations',' as well as other academic requirements such as note -taking',' researching',' revision and examination techniques. I.T. is a compulsory module',' which aims to develop your IT skills so that you can work effectively and confidently with Word Processing',' PowerPoint. Access to Humanities - Progression to study History',' English Literature',' English Language',' Teaching',' Theology',' etc Access Humanities and Social Science - Progression to study Social Work',' Psychology',' Sociology etc Attendance: 4 days a week Duration: 1 Year Intensive Course Entry Requirements: There are no formal entry requirements for this course. You need to be over 19 and have a desire to study at university level. You will be invited to an interview and asked to take an initial assessment',' as good standards of English and maths are essential. Career Options: The course prepares you for university and is recognised by all UK universities. All students produce a portfolio of work built throughout the course and formal assessments throughout the year',' which may include (dependent on subjects chosen): essays',' presentations',' coursework',' experiment reports',' and timed in-class exercises.
