Do you want to find out about why people behave the way they do? Psychology is a fascinating science concerned with the study of the mind and behaviour. The common factor linking people who study psychology is curiosity and the search for knowledge. Psychologists study such phenomena as perception',' cognition',' emotion',' aggression',' behaviour and interpersonal relationships. At AS Level you will study: Memory (short and long term); attachment in early childhood; psychological and biological responses to stress; applying biological and psychological models to explaining various abnormal disorders; social influence (conformity',' obedience); and research methods. At A2 Level you will study: Relationships; intelligence; aggression; addiction; understanding research; and psychopathology. Assessment is through examinations. Entry Requirements: You need five GCSEs at grades A*-C',' which must include English and maths. A grade B in a related subject is preferred. Career Options: Choose from degrees and careers in areas such as business',' marketing',' social services',' health and education.
