Duration : 1 year This course offers you the scope to study Health & Social Care and some Early Years topics',' giving you the opportunity to develop the knowledge and skills required to work in these career pathways. The course includes four compulsory units: - Communication in health and social care - Individual needs in health and social care - Individual rights in health and social care - Ensuring safe environments in health and social care Qualifications in first aid can also be taken. You will have the opportunity to spend up to 10 days in a work environment. You will study English and/or Maths GCSE. Entry Requirements: You need four GCSEs including English and maths at A*- D',' or an equivalent Level 1 qualification in a related subject and functional skills qualifications in English and maths. We will interview you and expect you to show an aptitude for working with vulnerable people in care settings. You will take a DBS check',' the results of which could affect your offer of a place on the course.
