Introduction to Mindfulness

UPDATED 20160412 14:34:52

In this fast paced, stressful world Mindfulness can help us stop and make sense of everything., , Mindfulness is paying attention to thoughts, emotions and feelings in a particular way, without judgement or criticism and with compassion. , , The first skill is to become more familiar with the workings of the mind and heart. In fact, the word meditation simply means 'familiarisation'. As we start to live with increased awareness, with more familiarity, we can begin to 're-wire' our brains to respond rather than react in stressful situations and learn to be more accepting of ourselves and others., , The course will include breath awareness practices, Mindful movement, meditation and Mindfulness exercises that can be used in everyday life. ,
