During this Art course you will be introduced to a range of drawing and watercolour painting techniques, aimed at building your knowledge and skills in a progressive, structured fashion in a lovely village hall environment. Observational skills will be developed throughout and you will learn fundamental principles of painting and drawing in pencil, crayons and watercolour. Sessions will initially be tutor led, leading to the opportunity for more self directed work in the sketchbooks as the course progresses. This course will not cover the use of oil paint. , By the end of the course you will be able to: , Demonstrate an ability to mix a wide range of colours from the three primary colours , Create accurate drawing of still life studies using negative space and angles, Blend watercolour pigments to match resource images, Demonstrate an ability to use a variety of techniques to create a visual impression of an image, Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines, , Anyone wishing to develop their drawing and painting skills. , It is important to note that Art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another person, please ask to speak to the Programme Manager before you enrol.
