This course is an introduction to portfolio building for fashion. You will be made aware of different aspects of the fashion industry such as design, forecasting, illustration, technical and traditional textiles and the use of new innovations such as 3D printing. You will then create a mood board and create a colour story for a series of rough sketches and ideas. You will then use mixed media techniques to produce a series of fashion illustrations to begin building your portfolio. The class is suitable for those who are completely new to the subject and to those who want to increase their range of illustration techniques and skills with a view to building their first portfolio of fashion or textiles design ideas.
