Have you always wanted to understand more about the artworks you see in galleries and museums? The tutor, Francesca Howard, will bring pictures alive in this engaging series of lectures, looking at a variety of different artworks from galleries around the world and in The Beaney collection. , , By the end of this course you should have:, - been introduced to a variety of artworks by different artists, - been introduced to different art movements and styles, - increased your understanding of works of visual culture in their historical context, - developed your skills of visual perception and critical analysis of images, , There is no qualification for this course., , Francesca Howard has a BA Hons degree in History of Art in Early Italian Renaissance and Dutch 17th Century art and architecture from the University of East Anglia. She currently really enjoys teaching 10-week courses on the Renaissance, the Baroque and the Best of British Art for Adult Education. Francesca is also a painter and owner of River Garage Studio in River. For anyone who is interested in learning about the history of art and how to read paintings.
