Jewellery and Silversmithing - Completing Projects

This course is for students who have silver or jewellery projects to complete that just need a couple more sessions to complete them before the summer holidays. The tutor will be able to support you through completing your project whether stone setting, annealing, polishing and the final finishing. This course is not for the beginner to the subject but for anyone presently or has been on a Kent Adult Education jewellery course this year and would like to spend more time on their project., This course at Tonbridge AEC will inspire and develop creativity in students wishing to learn jewellery making skills and making their own unique piece of jewellery ., , Please let us know if you require special learning support to enable you to take part in the course. Please note as with all our craft courses, good manual dexterity is needed ,

Entry requirements

Please be aware that precious metal is expensive but copper and other metal is availble to buy at Tonbridge centre., There will be a small tool levy payable to cover the cost of replacing blades and breakages. , Please wear old clothes and/or apron, closed toe shoes and be prepared to tie long hair back . , Please note students are not allowed to drink in the studio and a water dispenser is situated nearby in reception. Please note that while on KCC property you are responsible for the safekeeping of your own personal property and items of work.
