Greek Advanced

The Greek Advanced course will build on what has been learnt in the Intermediate Plus course. You will work towards increasing your ability to exchange information in all the major verb tenses, using a range of grammatical structures. You will study the Greek language in different registers e.g. popular idiomatic, literary, journalistic, business/commercial style etc. Opportunities will be given to improve pronunciation and fluency and to extend your knowledge of Greece and its culture., , By the end of the course you should be able to:-, , - Demonstrate improved listening and speaking skills as there will be greater emphasis on oral communication, - Complete a short individual project involving research using sources such as the internet This course is for those who have completed an Intermediate Plus (or higher level) course or who have previously studied Greek and can speak, read and write basic Greek. You should have an understanding of how the language works.

All students will need a good Greek/English dictionary (your tutor can advise) and preferably an internet connection at home. Please bring a pen and paper and an A4 ring binder for handouts.
