Life Painting

This course provides an opportunity for students to learn, explore and extend their life painting skills. Both male and female unclothed models will be used as subject matter., By the end of this course you should be able to:, - paint more accurately from observation, - paint more expressively from observation, - look at, and take inspiration from, the work and practice of a variety of artists, - mix and use warm and cool colours, - apply paint using a variety of mark making techniques, - use colur in relation to tone, , There is no 'homework' for this course, but you might like to research artists and ideas referred to on the course in your own time., There is no qualification for this course., , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. For beginners to life painting and those with some experience.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. If you have any materials/equipment that might be appropriate please bring them with you to the first session. You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements. You will need to bring paint (acrylic is recommended), a variety of brushes, pot/jar for water and a palette.
