Drawing and Painting - Beginners

This course is designed to teach you the basic techniques to drawing and painting and develop confidence and skills through a range of weekly tutored lessons. , You will explore a range of exciting materials, colour creation, light and shade, as well as artistic styles, applying paint techniques for landscape, still life and personal projects. Materials you could use within your projects are Watercolour, Oil and Acrylic paints, charcoal, crayons and pastels., This course will be informative, challenging and fun for anyone starting on their Art journey., By the end of the course you will be able to:, Demonstrate an understand of the colour wheel and mix colours appropriately in your paintings, Produce a still life drawing of a group of coloured objects, Use at least 4 different materials to produce sketches and drawings, Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines, , For beginners or those who just want to have a go. , It is important to note that Art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another person, please ask to speak with the Programme Manager before you enrol.
