This Art course will cover a range of sculpture and ceramic techniques including working from a life model. Projects will include working from the figure, working on individual projects and exploring different building techniques in clay. The course will show you have the build a figure using clay and wooden supports and how to craft your figure to be proportional correct. You will be encouraged to look at the work of artists and sculptors to assist in your projects. , By the end of the course you will be able to:, Produce a personal piece of work inspired from a collection of resources, Model a figure in clay from direct observation, Complete a clay model through to its final firing, Utilize tools and materials in the making of a piece of sculpture, Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines, This course is suitable for beginners and those with some experience. , It is important to note that craft courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity.
