With many more people being cared for at home there is a need for their carers to know where to find help and support., This one day workshop will give carers an overview of the disease and how to live well despite it., Over the day the course will :, Cover the history of Dementia, Challenge some myths and perception , Discuss the different types of Dementia, Look at symptoms, Explore communication and psychosocial intervention , Look at ways of 'Living well with dementia', Give plenty of information about the help and support available, Answer your questions, Carers for those with Dementia and their families are welcome to attend. The course will also be of interest to those seeking to go into Dementia care on a professional or voluntary basis.
