If you have some experience of oil painting, are relatively new to the medium, or you are in need of a refresher, then this course is for you. Through a wide range of tutor led projects, you will learn new oil painting techniques based on the work of both historical and contemporary painters. You will have the opportunity to experiment and develop your style through the creation of original pieces of artwork. , There is a structured but relaxed learning plan which will identify your individual needs, to help you reach your goals as you continue to practise and develop your skills. , By the end of the course you will be able to:, Make choices about subject matter and composition, through the use of reference material and observational drawings., Use a wider range of painting techniques., Understand the qualities of a wider range of painting materials including - brushes, surfaces, paints and solvents., Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines.
