Students on this French Advanced - La Vie Française course will continue to explore important aspects of the French language both in the written and spoken form. Emphasis will, however, be on developing communicative skills to reach a high level of fluency and accuracy in pronunciation, choice of vocabulary and use of idiomatic expressions. Along side the specific language work, however, students will gain an insight into the culture of France and French speaking countries. We shall read extracts of literature, comment on film and learn more of the geography of France . Articles from magazines, newspapers and the internet will be used on a regular basis to complement language work and discussion. This course is strictly for higher level French students interested in La Belle France, French cuture and lifestyle.
