Digital Photography - Get to Know Your SLR Camera

The course will provide a broad introduction to the digital camera. It is aimed at cameras with an advanced range of functions e.g. Digital SLR, and will not be appropriate for owners of simple point and shoot cameras. To maximise individual teaching, numbers will be limited on this course., , By the end of this course you should be able to:, , - use your camera more confidently, - understand and use more of its functions, - use some image manipulation tools in software to edit your pictures, - use some techniques to take better pictures, , There is no qualification for this course., , There is limited parking on site, but there is a public car park nearby and on-street parking. Experience in using Photoshop is desirable but not essential and individuals who use other versions of the program are of course welcome., , This course is not suitable for absolute beginners as the class is likely to contain students with a wide range of abilities., , It would be useful for Students to provide a series of photographs (10-40) from a day out, event, or holiday to work on during the course., , It is important to note that this course is practical requiring a degree of manual dexterity for students to participate fully and get the most out of the course., , We cannot guarantee to look at every photograph provided - your tutor will choose a selection to work on and provide you with practical tips and advice., , We recommend going on one of our longer phootgraphy courses to get the most out of your camera., ,
