Drawing - Beginners

Would you like to develop your drawing skills you have not used since school or unsure of where to start but you know you want to start drawing, then this Beginners Drawing course is for you. The tutor will set drawing projects to get the best from you using a variety of drawing materials including pencil, charcoal and pastels. This course has a structured but relaxed learning plan which will identify your individual needs to help you reach your drawing goals. , By the end of the course you will be able to:, Use a variety of materials to produce series of drawings, Demonstrate your observational skills through your drawings, Produce drawings on a variety of scales using materials appropriately, Produce a still life drawing with appropraite tonal qualities, Be aware of and work to relevant Health and Safety guidelines Absolute beginners or those with a little experience. , It is important to note that Art courses are practical and require a degree of manual dexterity. If you need to bring a carer with you, or be accompanied by another person, please ask to speak with the Programme Manager before you enrol.

Entry requirements

If you are a new student and have no materials please wait for your tutor's advice on what to buy. However, you should bring an A4 sketchbook of good quality cartridge paper, preferably with a hard cover and ring bound and a variety of pencils. You will need to provide your own materials and these will vary in cost according to the course requirements.
